Commit the next 12 weeks of your life to losing weight. Click here to complete your application form now and encourage friends and family to join with you. Once you complete the form, you will be emailed a pledge form to begin getting sponsors to support you on your journey.


Signing up is easy – but it comes with a price! You will be asked to pay a $100 registration fee when you commit to helping the hospitals in the Children’s Miracle Network, but if you can get encourage just five more friends or family members to join you, your registration fee will be refunded!


It’s simple: lose weight and collect money from your friends and family to encourage your effort. This money will go directly to the Children’s
Miracle Networks hospital serving the children and families in your community.

You take off those pounds you’ve been struggling with for years, and the Children’s Miracle Network benefits with money to provide research and care for those who need it the most – giving hope to families with children facing life-threatening diseases and restoring the dreams of kids who believe tomorrow may never come.

 

THIS SOUNDS COMPLICATED. DO I HAVE TO ATTEND MEETINGS AND WEIGH-IN ANYWHERE?

 
No! If you’re motivated to lose weight, then we trust you to visit your doctor or some other nutritionist professional to log your starting weight on the first day of your 12-week program, and this same professional will log your final weight at the end of your program.

I might need help! It is recommended if you are serious about weight loss and nutrition that you take this opportunity to visit your personal physician, a local gym (such as Curves or Gold’s Gym) or even a structured weight loss center, (such as Jenny Craig), to embark on your personal journey. We recommend you gather a group of friends to lose weight with you, because in addition to the satisfaction of looking and feeling better…

There are prizes for those who lose the most weight! This simple competition benefits the fundraisers as well as the beneficiaries! Get a group of friends together to lose weight with you, and whoever loses the biggest percentage of weight from the beginning of the 12-week period to the end will win a prize! You become a healthier you losing weight while the money of your supporters provides much-needed funding to the life-giving research and treatment the Children’s Miracle Network hospitals in your community!

How do I raise money by losing weight? This is the simplest part of the competition! For every pound you lose, those who have pledged to support you will be committed to increasing their donation for every pound lost. For example, if you lose 30 pounds and your best friend has pledge $5 per pound, they will be asked to donate $150 to this worthy cause! There is no minimum (or maximum) donation required, so this is a fundraiser that fits everyone’s budget!

Prizes awarded to the biggest losers in your area! As if losing weight to help sick children, their families and health providers isn’t enough, we want to recognize participants in the following way:
  • The “biggest loser” (based on percentage of weight lost, not actual pounds) in each region will be entitled to cash prizes and awards!
  • Everyone who completes the program and pays the entrance fee will be rewarded a special medal to recognize their achievement, regardless of how much weight is lost!
  • The person who signs the most participants in the area will be recognized with a special plaque and prizes.
  • The person who raises the most money in the area will be rewarded with a special plaque and prizes.
You can begin your program any time between Wednesday, July 1, 2015, and Monday, November 30, 2015. Prizes, awards and medals will be presented after the final contestant completes the 12-week challenge.
