*Entry is free to contestants who participate in the
charitable sponsorship portion of the competition.
HOW IT WORKS. Beginning January 7, contestants will have 12 weeks of self-supervised "at home" diet (of choice) and exercise program (of choice), to lose as much weight as they need or desire. On Wednesday April 2, contestants will be weighed in for final results. Using highest percentage of weight loss balances the competition fairly, at the same time allows for different body types and different goal weights. Cash Prizes will be awarded to highest percentage of weight loss winners.
PRIZE $$MONEY$$. The amount of winners will be determined by the number of contestants who compete in CLEVELAND. If you think you can WIN, it will be in your best interest to get as many people signed up for this competition as possible. The more contestants that participate, the more cash prizes will be awarded. The first place winner will be awarded $25 for every pound lost.
THIS WILL BE A FUN WAY TO LOSE WEIGHT. As a contestant, you will receive weekly email challenges, temptations and inspirations to participate in, which are sure to keep you motivated. Contestants keep posted to the website for updates on the progress of your competition!!
HALF TIME PEP RALLY. Contestants may attend the free half
time pep rally on Tuesday February 18 at 7pm which will include personal support, speakers on diet, fitness and weight loss, child obesity education and Q&A. Weigh in at the half time pep rally

GET SPONSORS FOR FREE REGISTRATION. After you have paid your $100 registration, please use your sponsor sheet to encourage friends, family and co-workers to SPONSOR you in $dollars$ for pounds. If you want to lose 30 pounds for example, ask friends, family, co-workers, local merchants or your company to sponsor your weight loss effort by donating $1 or $5 or $20 or $100 for each pound you are committed to lose. Collect at least $250 and your $100 registration fee will be refunded at the awards finale provided you have met your goal weight. So even if you aren't the overall winner, you still walk away with CASH!!! Getting sponsors to lay down DOLLARS to support your weight loss effort will keep you accountable and on track. Knowing you will get $100 back at the end will further motivate you. All sponsor money collected is a tax deductible donation to CMN and will be used to support Child Obesity / Wellness Programs at UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital. An additional BONUS cash prize and trophy will be awarded to the contestant that raises the most money in sponsor donations.
FINAL WEIGH IN will be held at SouthPark Mall on WEDNESDAY APRIL 2. Winners will be announced at the AWARDS FINALE on Saturday April 5 with presentation of CASH PRIZES to the winners, AWARD TROPHIES to the runner-ups, presentation of the donation to RAINBOW BABIES & CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL and Fashionably FIT Fashion show featuring the top 10 finalists.
REGISTRATION and starting WEIGH IN will take place at SouthPark Mall Saturday January 4 (noon-5pm), Sunday January 5 (noon-5pm) & Monday January 6 (4-8pm). No appointment necessary. Move to the front of the line at the weigh in by pre-registering at www.theweightisovercompetition.org.
